Kareena Kapoor Khan and Preity Zinta got off on a wrong foot with each other after Bebo refused to do Karan Johar’s movie Kal Ho Naa Ho over money matters, had a fallout with him and later the movie went to Preity. Things started unravelling for Bebo after the movie became a resounding success. She made it look publicly that she was responsible for Preity’s success. This did not go down well with Zinta and the two had a cold war for longest time. Karan and Kareena buried their hatchet and later was even called on his show. That time, Kareena spoke about her tiff with Preity and had said, “She said something about me and I retaliated…There was probably some misunderstanding which she wasn’t interested in clearing up. That’s fine by me because she’s nowhere in competition with me.”
This stirred up the hornet’s nest again. As luck would have it, Preity was later offered Jab We Met which she turned down and it made Kareena an overnight star. On the occasion of completion of 15 years of Kal Ho Naa Ho, Preity spoke about this and said that both she and Bebo are carriers of Good Karma. While KHNH was an important milestone in her career, Bebo’s Geet is one of her most talked about performances till date and that film put her in a big league! Now, all’s well that ends well, isn’t it?
Both Kareena and Preity ended their rivalry this year publicly and have let bygones be bygones. Preity’s last film was Bhaiaji Superhit which bombed at the box office while Kareena will start work on Karan Johar’s Good News from next month onwards.
