Ranveer Singh, who is enjoying the blissful time in his life since his marriage to Deepika Padukone, has come roaring with the much anticipated Simmba trailer. The film’s full-fledged promo was unveiled this afternoon in Mumbai in presence of Ranveer Singh, director Rohit Shetty, co-producer Karan Johar and Sara Ali Khan amongst others. During the launch, the cast made an interesting revelation that Karan Johar has a cameo in the film.

For the uninitiated, Simmba lead actors Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan shot a special song last month with Golmaal gang Arshad Warsi, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor in Hyderabad. In the song, Ajay Devgn is also expected to make a cameo. But, an interesting detail was revealed at the trailer launch that Karan Johar also makes an appearance in it.

When asked about how was it working with Ajay Devgn and shooting a song with him, Ranveer Singh dodged the question. But, instead he talked about Karan’s cameo. “That moment, I don’t want to ruin it for everybody. When the song comes out in 4-5 days, it is a blockbuster song. Karan sir, thank you,” he said.

Rohit Shetty, too, chimed in by saying, “The song also has Karan in it.” In the usual way, Karan Johar way, “See, as an actor, it was my heartiest wish to give one hit film. This is why i requested Rohit Shetty that the only way I can give a hit film as an actor is to put me in your film. This is my only chance to remove that misconception that my pictures don’t work as an actor.”

In addition to Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan Simmba also stars Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, Siddharth Jadhav. It is set to release on December 28, 2018.
