Sara Ali Khan SPEAKS UP on 'Love Jihad' controversy related to her debut film Kedarnath

Speaking about the objections raised against her debut film, Sara Ali Khan spoke to Bollywood Hungama and when asked how she looks at the ‘love jihad’ element that is being spoken about, she said, “I don’t look at it. I don’t know enough to look at it. I look at it very differently. Religion, ethnicity, race – these are no divisive markers. In my reading of Kedarnath, as I’ve read it quite a few times, I don’t look at it as a divisive kind of film. I look at it as a film that urges people to come together. I look at it as a kind of film that when something very big happens, when nature takes its cause, these small things don’t matter. That’s the point we have tried to prove.”

The actress said that she understood people having different perspective but their film wasn’t about it. “I don’t know why people have gotten offended but I understand that everyone has a different perspective and way of thinking. So, I respect that as well,” Sara added.

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP and Abhishek Kapoor’s Guy In the Sky Pictures, Kedarnath is directed by Abhishek Kapoor.
