Yesterday, Kim was fined by the Customs official at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport for not declaring goods worth Rs. 4 lakh.
The goods were flown into the country in a chartered flight from Dubai and Kim along with her husband Ali Punjani, a Kenyan businessman of Indian origin, were to board the flight from Mumbai for an African destination.

The chartered flight, owned by Kim, landed in Mumbai in the morning and was scheduled to leave for Africa at 2 pm. The Customs officials conducted a check on the aircraft and found undeclared branded purses and other items worth Rs. 4 lakh. According to procedure, once a flight has landed at an Indian airport, the plane's owner or pilot has to declare the chartered plane as well as the goods, if any, purchased from abroad and in the flight.

After interrogating the pilot they found out that the luggage belongs to Kim. Kim had to pay Rs. 50,000 as penalty for not declaring the goods. After declaring the good, she was then allowed to fly with them. Kim and her husband finally boarded the flight at 6pm.
