Ayan Mukerji has made a name for himself in the industry by helming movies like Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. But what most of the people are not aware of is that he was also an assistant director for the Shah Rukh Khan starrer blockbuster, Swades. The movie was directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and produced by him and Ronnie Screwvala. The movie is still one of the most critically appreciated movies in Bollywood.

Ayan Mukerji recently joined Instagram and has been giving us insight some unseen comics from his upcoming movie Brahmastra starring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. His Instagram is our sole source for latest Brahmastra updates and recently, he shared a throwback picture from the mahurat of Swades. The picture has him posing with Aamir Khan holding the clapboard, Kiran Rao, Ashutosh Gowariker and other crew members. He captioned the picture as, “Swades???? Brahmastra is slated to release during Christmas 2019 and also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna in pivotal roles.
