Saqib Saleem has been roped in to play the character of Mohinder Amarnath in Ranveer Singh starrer ’83. The extensive cast is currently in Dharamshala where they have started shooting for this Kabir Khan directorial. The cast includes Sunny Kaushal, Ammy Virk, Harrdy Sandhu, Pankaj Tripathi, Sahil Khattar, Tahir Raj Bhasin among the others. To keep the film as realistic as possible, cricket legends Mohinder Amarnath and Balwinder Singh Sandhu are training the actors to perfect their stance and moves.

The movie revolves around the historic win of the Indian Cricket Team as they brought the World Cup back home in 1983. The team won under Kapil Dev’s captainship and it truly was one of the greatest wins for the country in sports. There are a lot of behind-the-scenes videos and pictures surfacing on the internet and we love every single one of them. Saqib Saleem recently posted a boomerang on his Instagram where he is practising with ‘Jimmy’ Amarnath and the resemblance is uncanny!

The team is already undergoing rigorous training with the experts of the game and it is one of the most anticipated films. There were also reports that ’83 is a Kapil Dev biopic, however, director Kabir Khan has denied the rumors of it completely.
