Mumbai: Ekta Kapoor’s production Shootout at Wadala is being shot and the makers first decided the release date but then postponed it after they learnt about Aamir Khan’s Talaash’s release. Ekta Kapoor is utterly ambitious for her upcoming venture and she does not want to take any kind of risk for the film. She does not want to have any kind of clash at the box office with Aamir’s well in news Talaash.
Ekta is well aware of the fact that competing with Aamir at the BO could be harmful for her. Previously Sanjay Gupta’s Shootout at Wadala was scheduled to hit the screens on December 7th this year but when Ekta learnt about Aamir Khan’s Talaash being postponed till November 30th, she took the instant decision of postpone the release of the movie and pushed her release to next year.

Sanjay Gupta’s Shootout at Wadala is the sequel to 2007 successful movie ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’. In the sequel, Sonu Sood plays the role of Dawood Ibrahim, John Abraham enacts the gangster Manya Surve and Anil Kapoor essays the role of ACP Isaque Bagwan. The film also features Tusshar Kapoor, Kangna Ranaut and Ronit Roy.
Aamir Khan’s Talaash has been directed by Reema Kagti and features Aamir Khan and Rani Mukherjee in main roles. Previosuly the movie was to release January this year and then the film was postponed to June and now it got pushed to November 30th release. Ekta, though has postponed the release till January 18th, 2013, but she has to be aware about the next hurdle which is Abbas Mustan’s Race 2 releasing on January 25th. Well, Ekta think again and then decide the release date.
