Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming film Kabir Singh has created quite a lot of buzz in the market with just a teaser and trailer out. The movie is the remake of the Tamil blockbuster, Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Deverakonda as the lead. The original film had taken the audience by a storm and now watching Shahid Kapoor in the same role, had left them in awe. Kabir Singh has been quite the talk of the town since its announcement and you can count on it because it is being directed by Sandeep, who happens to be the Tamil original’s director.

EXCLUSIVE! Shahid Kapoor says Kabir Singh director Sandeep didn’t think too much before making the film

While talking to Bollywood Hungama exclusively, Shahid confessed that the movie’s plot comes from a personal experience for Sandeep. He went on to say, “It’s very important for people to connect with this film from their heart. Because I think when Sandeep made this film he didn’t think too much, it was like a shot from the heart. He wanted to express himself and that is the angst and the vibe of the film, so if that feeling comes through like how it made me feel when I saw it, nothing like it.”

This movie is very close to Shahid as he even admitted to being a fan of the original film. Slated to release on June 21, Kabir Singh stars Kiara Advani as the lead. The second leading lady however has not been revealed yet.
