Rakul Preet Singh is riding high on the success of De De Pyaar De which seems to be doing some brisk business. While this actress was paired amidst Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh for the first time, she seemed to have impressed industry stalwarts with her amazing performance as Ayesha. Speaking about the same, Rakul revealed that she got many appreciative messages from the fraternity after the special screening of the film which was held last week and the Yaariyan actress spoke about the same during an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama.

Rakul Preet Singh spoke about how overwhelming the response was after everyone saw the film. Reminiscing about the time the film was screened for the fraternity, Rakul said in this Bollywood Hungama interview, “When the film got over at 1:30 in the night, there were a lot of messages from the industry people, directors and producers. Karan Johar had sent a long and sweet message about how much he loved the film. Vidya Balan had called me yesterday. David sir called me and said, ‘Tum toh cha gayi beta. I’d tell ten other people in the office are talking about you.’ And many more names. It’s just been very special.”

In De De Pyaar De, Rakul Preet plays the role of a young Ayesha who is a bartender and is in love with a man who is double her age. Her love interest, essayed by Ajay Devgn is the former husband of Tabu in the film. How the quintessential Indian household deals with the complexities of these romantic relationships is what the film is all about! The film released last week on May 17.

On the other hand, Rakul has also signed Marjaavaan which stars Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Tara Sutaria. The actress has already shot for a major portion of the film and it is expected to release this year itself on October 2.
