Arjun Kapoor has never shied away from speaking what’s on his mind. He always makes sure to put his views forth no matter what the consequences. His latest release, India’s Most Wanted, has already started taking the audience by storm and reviews have started pouring in for the same. Based on true events, this story is about 5 ordinary men trying to find the man responsible for 400 deaths with just their will and wit.

Arjun Kapoor, during the promotions, revealed to Bollywood Hungama exclusively about his views on why certain actors refrain from voicing their opinions. He said, “People hesitate. We portray a lot of things through our cinema but we than to think before we actually say it out in public. To hide behind a character and say a lot of truths that you wanna speak about is sometimes much easier than coming out as Arjun Kapoor and making your point across, because you know the consequences can be immense through back channels. Not even directly, but you can be traumatized and tortured through various ways. And these big names are prime examples. It’s not like they will come outside you house and do something now, to stop the release of the film, to stop the endorsement deal, to change the set up. If the film is shut down, the loses that the producers and studios face, plus your name gets tarnished, the hundred-thousands of people that have worked on these films, the consequences are immense. Also, as an actor you feel responsible because your producer will suffer if you say something it’s not his fault. So a lot of people, when they’re promoting films try to stay in the zone of protecting the film. Even if they have a personal ability to talk, I’ve noticed off late that it depends on the kind of filmmaker that is there around you if they allow you to speak, you will. If they think it’s not correct or its too sensitive then a lot of actors tend to control to protect the film.”
