The much talked about film Article 15 is coming up for release and the makers of the venture are going all out to promote the film. In fact, director Anubhav Sinha whose last release Mulk turned out to be a sleeper hit is pretty kicked about the hype and anticipation for Article 15 and is eager to see the audiences’ reaction on its release. Recently, Sinha was talking about the film’s main lead Ayushmann Khurrana and had nothing but praises to sing of the actor.

Revealing details of Ayushmann and his casting Anubhav Sinha stated that though he wrote the film much earlier, Ayushmann was a perfect fit since he was looking at making the film for the youth and Khurrana has a connect with them thanks to his film choices. Besides this, Sinha also revealed that Article 15 required an actor who was not only fantastic but also believed in the subject and would go that extra mile for the film. Interestingly, Ayushmann again was a perfect fit for this.

Further talking about his association with Ayushmann, Anubhav Sinha also revealed that he initially wanted to make a love story with the actor, but Khurrana was more interested in doing a hard hitting film instead.

As for Article 15, the film revolves around Article 15 of the Indian Constitution, which prohibits discrimination based on caste, creed, sex, religion, race or place of birth. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Isha Talwar and Sayani Gupta, the film is slated to release on June 28.
