One of the most celebrated villains of all time has been the legendary, Amrish Puri. The late actor made some of the characters most iconic ones including Mogambo from Mr. India which has become a memorable one. Today, the nation is celebrating the 87th birth anniversary of the actor and so is Google.

Google dedicates a doodle for Amrish Puri on his 87th birth anniversary

Google honoured renowned Amrish Puri on his birth anniversary today, on June 22, 2019, with a special doodle. The doodle was made by a Pune-based artist Debangshu Moulik celebrating his life and work in cinema.

Amrish Puri starred as Kajol's father Baldev Singh in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. He made his debut in films at the age of 39 in Reshma Aur Shera. Not only did he star in Hindi films, but he also ventured into regional languages as well. The late actor also made his way into Hollywood with his role in the Oscar-winning movie, Gandhi. He also starred in Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
