One of India’s finest singers, Lata Mangeshkar celebrates her 90th birthday today. Wishes and love have been pouring in for the versatile singer on social media as fans and celebrities wished her. Among them was actress Shraddha Kapoor, who is the grandniece of Lata Mangeshkar.

Sharddha Kapoor took her fans and followers down the memory lane as she shared a picture from her childhood days. In the picture, Shraddha Kapoor can be seen grinning at the camera while Lata Mangeshkar is distracted and looking away from the camera. Sharing the picture, Shraddha wrote, “Happy 90th birthday to my beloved grand aunt Lata aaji”. Needless to say, the post was flooded with likes and comments. Shraddha Kapoor’s brother Siddhant Kapoor wrote, “This photo” with heart emoticons.

Meanwhile, Lata Mangeshkar is the most popular and respected playback singer of India and has been a part of the industry for over six decades. Known as the Nightingale of India, she has recorded songs in over a thousand Hindi films and has sung songs in over thirty-six regional Indian languages and foreign languages. Her songs such as ‘Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hain’, ‘Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon’, ‘Dil To Pagal Hain’, ‘Lag Jaa Gale’, ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’ among others are still loved by many.
