Aditya Chopra, Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, even actors like Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor are some of the names that have created their own identity, chartering their individual paths gloriously. Adi, Karan and Ekta have enviable track record as film-makers. Similarly, Hrithik and Ranbir are known for qualitative films; they have left an indelible impression on cineastes. Music baron Gulshan Kumar's enterprising son Bhushan Kumar, after dominating the music space for years now [T-Series continues to be the market leader], has set his sights on film production.

Of course, Bhushan has produced a string of hits in the past [TUM BIN, which was Anubhav Sinha's directorial debut, BHOOL BHULAIYAA with Akshay Kumar, READY with Salman Khan], but Bhushan was not as aggressive on the production front. But it's never too late…

While the film with Sunny Deol and Kangna Ranaut, I LOVE NY, is almost complete and slated for February 2013 release, Bhushan has completed almost 80% of principal shooting of NAUTANKI SAALA, which is being directed by Rohan Sippy and stars Ayushmann Khurana and Kunal Roy Kapur in the leads. This will be Ayushmann's second film release after the immensely likeable and successful VICKY DONOR. Besides these two films, there's AASHIQUI 2, which has commenced filming already [it's being shot in South Africa currently]. Mohit Suri, who has the smash hit MURDER 2 behind him, is directing this one. These three films will hit the screens in the first half of 2013.

Another ambitious project of Bhushan will be helmed by his wife, Divya Khosla Kumar. Titled YAARIYAAN and starring newcomers [like AASHIQUI and TUM BIN], the film centres around the youth and is set in a college campus. YAARIYAAN will be filmed in South Africa [for 15 days] and will proceed to Sikkim thereafter. The shoot starts in October and will be wrapped up in January next year. At the moment, Bhushan is looking for a May/June 2013 release.

Also in the pipeline is a film with Milan Luthria, who has delivered back to back hits in ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI and THE DIRTY PICTURE. This project, expected to start in March 2013, will star Saif Ali Khan in the lead. If that's not all, Bhushan has also signed Madhur Bhandarkar and Vikram Bhatt [whose latest release RAAZ 3 is a Blockbuster Hit] for his forthcoming projects.

Bhushan Kumar is all set to take the entertainment industry by storm in 2013.
