Anil Kapoor has been focused on fitness for a while now. He pushed himself harder during the lockdown and his physical transformation pictures and videos had everyone in awe. On Friday, he took to his Instagram handle and revealed what he was up against in his journey to achieve a muscular toned body.

Anil Kapoor revealed that he has been suffering from Achilles tendon from the past 10 years and has now overcome it. The actor shared pictures of him jumping rope and getting treated by his doctor and wrote, "I had been suffering from an Achilles' tendon issue for over 10 years…. Doctors around the world had told me that surgery was my only option…Dr Muller, through a series of rejuvenating treatments took me from limping to walking to running to finally skipping…without any surgery…”

Achilles tendon is a tough band of fibrous tissue that connects the calf muscles to the heel bone. It's common for this tendon to get injured. When injured, one can feel a burning pain or stiffness in that part of the leg.

On the work front, the actor will next be seen in the film AK vs AK along with Anurag Kashyap.
