Manish Malhotra to make his directorial debut

Coco Chanel once said, "Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street; fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening." For starters, you know what’s happening in the world of Fashion? No? Well, here’s the ice breaker for you then. India’s numero uno fashion designer Manish Malhotra has shown interest in directing a full length feature film. An avid movie buff and having spent two decades in the Indian Film Industry, Manish Malhotra is all set to gear up for his directorial venture. He reveals, "I am planning to make a commercial, glamorous, glossy, popcorn film which I would go to see it. I have a dance film in mind and I’ve always wanted to do that kind of a film. The producers and the cast is too premature for me to speak about at this given point in time." He further quotes, "I don’t only love fashion but also films. I have grown up watching Hindi films and the time has come that I show my prowess behind the camera. At the moment, it’s a ssshhh." Having known Manish and his celebrity friends list, we won’t be surprised if we do see the wish list including Karan Johar, Kareena Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, and many more from the filmy fraternity roped in his debut film.
