The euphoria that Shah Rukh Khan generates overseas is unparalleled and one got to witness his star power yet again when he attended the Marrakech Film Festival in Morocco. SRK was seen recently at Jemaa el-Fna Square, which is at the medina quarter at Marrakech, Morocco. An unprecedented crowd gathered at the square as soon as they got to know that SRK would be walking down the red carpet there for the film festival. More than 50,000 locals gathered there, under heavy security and extreme cold weather, just to get a glimpse of SRK, and stayed there till the wee hours of morning. King Khan got overwhelmed by the sight and left his security at the red carpet just to jump up on the podium and wave at all the people present there.
Speaking about the grand welcome, SRK said, "I went to Marrakech Film Festival because of the people there and the constant love that I have got from them all these years. I went there to tell them that I love them too and I am blessed to receive their love. The sight of that crowd at Jemaa el-Fna square was very overwhelming. They waited to cheer me on, how could I not spend a little time with them. That's the least I could have done."
The crowds gathered sang 'Chammak Challo' in chorus and SRK obliged them by doing his trademark step from the cult song.
