USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Salman Khan, known as the man with a golden heart, has proved it yet again. This time the actor has opened up a medical camp for cancer patients in need of financial help. The camp which is running out of a garden opposite his house at Galaxy Apartment, in Bandra charges patients Rs. 2 per consultation.
Though the charges for the consultation are a measly Rs. 2, sometimes it is done free of cost, while in case of an extremely needy patient, the matter is referred to Salman, who takes over the case from that moment on.
On the other hand, Suniel Shetty, who recent unveiled his new property projects, has started a bus service which provides surgical facilities on board to spread cancer awareness in Mumbai slums. Apparently, Suniel started this service as an initiative to raise awareness about cancer in the Mumbai slums, post losing several members of his family and friends to cancer.
The mobile bus started in the Jijamata slums runs several facilities for needy patients. The vehicle will be run with support from a city- based NGO. While their fight mainly is against oral cancer amongst men and cervical and breast cancer amongst women, the mobile unit will be flagged off at Jamboree Maidan on Saturday morning.
