Inform us something regarding your role in Listen…Amaya…
Amaya is really a youthful, confident, urban bred girl. She’s a little of the spoilt brat, but a warm, loving and spirited personality. She’s accustomed to her mother’s undivided love and a focus. She’s also headstrong and possessive and it has an absolute opinion on everything. I joke using the author Avinash (Kumar Singh) and the wife Geeta Singh that Amaya is really the villain from the film.
What made you say ‘yes’ for this role?
Right after the discharge of Tanu Weds Manu, Avinash made contact with beside me and that we met. As soon as I heard that Deepti ma’am and Farooq mister used to do the film, I felt inclined to state yes. I Quickly browse the script and loved it. I discovered negligence Amaya challenging and fascinating. And So I agreed to get it done. I keep telling Avinash he bribed me by mentioning names of Farooque mister and Deepti ma’am!
What broke the ice between you, Deepti Naval and Farooq Sheikh?
Both Deepti ma’am and Farooq mister are extremely warm and generous people. Plus they helped me feel totally comfortable. We met a couple of occasions for blood pressure measurements prior to the shoots and that’s once the ice broke. I truly loved conversations together. With ma’am the conversations were more personal, about existence and associations. Mister is really a fund of understanding and tales. He’s very well find out about literature and current matters and food! I truly loved investing time with and shooting together.
How have you get ready for the function of Amaya?
My finest challenge when preparing with this role ended up being to understand Amaya’s anger and produce it to existence with conviction, considering that I don’t theoretically accept her position. I needed to have fun with conviction a personality I really thought was acting just like a spoilt brat and deserved three slaps! I realized I desired to portray Amaya’s vulnerability, reveal that she’s in the end a young child acting in the anxiety about losing her mother and also the lack of ability to forget about the memory of her father. That does not make her a poor person. I really hope I’ve handled to complete justice for this gray character.
Have you get any ‘gyaan’ from Deepti or Farooq?
Just watching both of them at the office would be a large lesson for me personally. Both are so easy and simple while watching camera their performance is really fluid yet convincing and intense. That’s an excellent lesson to have an actor and also the most difficult factor to attain in one’s performance. I’d just sit watching them do their shots. These were an excellent pleasure to utilize. There is no pressure as a result, just lots of excitement. We’d do our lines and discuss the scene, laugh and joke a great deal. We even improvised a great deal, once we were very comfortable.
That was the most challenging scene for you personally within the movie?
How close are you currently in tangible existence towards the character of Amaya?
Well, much less similar, I really hope, since i keep joking with director Avinash Singh that Amaya may be the villain from the film. On the more severe note, certainly every actor brings something that belongs to them personality towards the roles they play, so Amaya’s energy and vivacity I believe is mine. Also, I too love books and am an periodic author. Apart from that the variations – Amaya is really a fitness freak and I’m a lazy bum! As well as Personally i think Amaya’s response to her mother is quite different from things i hope mine could be inside a similar situation.
Who do you consider may be the audience for Listen…Amaya?
I believe anybody who likes a great story and takes note of the miracle that Farooq mister and Deepti ma’am create onscreen when together. Well, certainly anybody between 20-six decades will connect with this film. Actually, In my opinion just the most hardened cynic will stay unmoved because of it.
Has this movie transformed you by any means?
It helped me understand that frequently as children our passion for our parents becomes very selfish. We simply discover their whereabouts as parent, less people using their own identity and existence outdoors family and youngsters. That’s probably the most profound and important lesson I learned about this film – that oldsters will also be people!
The other projects are you currently focusing on?
This season after Listen…Amaya, I’m searching toward the discharge of Aanand Rai’s Raanjhanaa in finish June, and Yash Raj Film’s Aurangzeb directed by Atul Sabharwal in May. I play interesting and totally opposite roles both in films. Later around is going to be Sabki Bajegi Band directed by Anirudhh Chawla and Machhli Jal Ki Rani Hai directed by Debaloy P. I’m keeping my fingers entered – if my films release, I’ve five releases this season!
