Mumbai: Director Rohan Sippy has says his upcoming comedy film Nautanki Saala would salute the 3 reigning Khans of Bollywood – Shahrukh, Salman and Aamir – by depicting a few of their distinct styles. Nautanki Saala stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Kunaal Roy Kapur of Delhi Belly fame within the lead. Because the title suggests, the film is really a comedy of errors between two theatre actors –
Ayushmann and Kunaal. Launching the trailer of the film, Ayushmann says he’s imitated Shahrukh within the film, mouthing dialogues using the name of his films like Darr, Devdas in SRK style.
“To imitate a person means he’s successful so folks are imitating him. I believe it is the best compliment,” Ayushmann said. Revealing further details, Rohan said, “In the film, you’re going to get to determine certain types of Shahrukh, Salman and Aamir. We respect them. It’s our method of saluting our favourite actors.” The film is placed to release on April 12.
