Kamal Hassan starrer much-hyped Vishwaroopam finally released in Tamil Nadu on Thursday (February 7). The film was launched in over 500 screens within the state and contains got massive response in the audience.

The first trade reports states that Vishwaroopam got the very best opening of the season with Kamal Hassan fans giving incredible response for that Tamil movie. The film witnessed 100% occupancy in most of single screens in Chennai, and multiplexes increased the amount of screens to satisfy the demand. Traders predict that Vishwaroopam will probably set a brand new record at Tamil Box Office because the tickets for the following three days happen to be entirely sold-out.

The buzz states that the film has collected a lot more than Rs 10 crore (gross) around the opening day. However, official confirmation on figures is not yet been out. Earlier, Vishwaroopam was said to be released on January 11 however the film was postponed after theatre owners refused to screen within the DTH issue.

Then, Kamal planned to produce on January 25 but because the state government banned after several Muslim groups opposed the film claiming it shows their community in bad taste, the discharge was pushed again. Vishwaroopam is made by Charu Hassan and directed by Kamal Hassan himself. The film, that also stars Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah and Rahul Bose within the key roles, is made from the budget of Rs 95 crore.
