USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Fox Star Studio's film Jolly LLB directed by Subhash Kapoor featuring Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani has run into legal trouble. The makers of the film have been served with a legal notice by an advocate in Meerut who claims that the promos of Jolly LLB on air currently are showing lawyers in Meerut in a poor light and are defamatory.
The advocate, Dr. Parag Garg is now demanding that Fox Star Studios remove the trailers from broadcast. The film which is based on a fictional story about a Meerut lawyer is supposed to be a satirical take on the legal system and is slated for a March 15 release.
Confirming the news, Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios, says that they have since received the legal notice and their legal team is looking into the matter, so no comments will be made at this stage.
