Actress Kajol feels that nobody comes close to her in the present crop of heroines in Bollywood. “There is nobody. I do not think there’s any 1 better than me. Not correct now. I believe acting is some thing exactly where you learn, re-learn things, hone and refine your abilities. I believe the girls require time,” she stated in conversation with friend & filmmaker Karan Johar on the 3rd day of FICCI Frames.
The 38-year-old actress is recognized for her unforgettable performances in movies like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Dushman, Fanaa & My Name is Khan amongst others. Born to actress Tanuja and movie director Shomu Mukherjee, she made her acting introduction with Bekhudi (1992) whilst she was in school. She quit her studies to go after acting and had her initial commercial achievement with Baazigar. She delivered a number of blockbuster family dramas, such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and others. Even her unfavorable portrayal in Gupt was valued.
Kajol, who’s married to actor Ajay Devgn, took a sabbatical from full-time acting in 2001 & came back to films using the 2006 romantic thriller, Fanaa. Her pairing with superstar Shahrukh Khan is an additional highlight of her profession. When questioned who she considers as the subsequent hit pair like them within the industry, Kajol stated, “I have not noticed anybody like that who could develop or match upto to Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dilwale…” Even as everybody is curious to see Kajol return in movies, it is her family members that keeps her busy. “I had babies…. I needed to bring them up so I could not be committed to movies,” she stated. Kajol also said that she is open to small screen. “I would prefer to do some thing on Television. But there’s absolutely nothing concrete on that front. I have not spoken to anybody. One factor I’m certain of is the fact that I will not judge a dance reality show.”
“I go by gut feeling. I should like the subject of the movie, I should appreciate it as a listener and really feel comfy. And in the end of it, ?it ought to make me feel pleased and interest me. If all of these issues are in location I agree to do a film,” she stated. Kajol says she would prefer to do a film like Kahaani but not a Dirty Picture because she has a family at house, a husband and kids. “There are particular things that I’m not comfy doing it and therefore I’ll not do it. I do not believe I’d have the ability to do justice to it (The Dirty Picture) on celluloid,” she stated.
