USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Shringar Films has acquired the rights of National Award winning film Filmistaan and will look at an all India theatrical release sometime in June 2013. Filmistaan directed by Nitin Kakkar and starring Sharib Hashmi, Innamulhaq, Gopal Datt and Kumud Mishra, won the Best Hindi Film Award at the 60th National Film Awards that were announced earlier this week.
Filmistaan deals with Sunny Arora's (Sharib Hashmi) interactions with the terrorists as well as people of a Pakistani border village. They finally find a common ground of interest – Bollywood movies and how their conversations revolve around films making them realize that culturally as humans we all are same forms the crux of the story.
Arijit Dutta has given music for Filmistaan while the costumes have been designed by Payal Ashar. Subhransu Das is the Director of Photography of the film.
