In a bid to protect brand Raj Kapoor from being commercially exploited, RK Films and Studios has acquired IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) on the name and images of Raj Kapoor.
This effectively means that from now onwards anyone seeking to use any poster / image related to Raj Kapoor and his movies will have to seek legal permission as per the nomenclature personality rights of the Intellectual Property Act.
The notice was filed and IPR acquired by law firm Anand and Anand, who represent RK Studios.
