One of the most iconic covers of all time, Vidya Balan poses as 'Mother India' on the cover of Cineblitz, paying tribute to the cult film and some of the best films and screen legends on the occasion of 100 years of Hindi Cinema.
Talking about the cover says Vidya Balan, "I feel honored to pay tribute to Nargis and Mother India. When you think of a strong woman of Indian cinema the one name that comes to your mind is Nargis from Mother India." Adding that, "I think I was trying to keep it original and match up to the original photos – be it in terms of makeup, look, body language etc. So the focus was on recreating that moment."
Overcoming the hurdles that paved the path to stardom, Vidya made her own road to success. Talking about being a role model, her celebrated Indian-ness, the unprecedented success of The Dirty Picture and Kahaani and lots more, Vidya gets candid on the April issue of the magazine celebrating 100 years of Hindi Cinema.
