Salman Khan to co-produce Canadian film

Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Post Bollywood celebrities and films going across the borders to film sequences for their upcoming projects, its time the industry ventured into producing cross border films as well. In fact superstar Salman Khan will be doing just that with his production house Salman Khan Being Human Productions.

News is that, if all goes well then SKBH will be credited as the co-producers of a Canadian project titled Dr Cabbie. The film is based on the story of an Indian unemployed immigrant doctor-turned-cab driver, who becomes a local hero when he converts his taxi into a mobile clinic. The film which is being directed by Canadian director Jean-Francois Poulliot, began shooting in Toronto early this week.

While the cast includes Vinay Virmani, Adrianne Palicki, Kunal Nayyar, Lillete Dubey, Mircea Monroe, Rizwan Manji among others. Apart from them Dr. Cabbie will also launch newcomer Isabelle.

SKBH Productions was launched in 2011 to produce films whose revenues contribute to Being Human charity projects. The first film produced by the banner was kids drama Chillar Party, which went on to win three National Film Awards (given by the Indian government), including best children's film.
