Realizing this, director Shaad Ali has scheduled a series of workshops for Ranveer to get a hang of Govinda's legendary comic timing.

Things have finally started improving in Govinda's career. Not only is his new film with old-friend Pahlaj Nihalani about to be completed, Govinda has just signed his first project with Yash Raj Films.

He is understandably relieved, if not elated. "I've stopped reacting with too much enthusiasm to anything that happens. I've seen too many things go wrong. But yes, things are looking up finally. At least now I'm getting good work," says Govinda candidly.
About the Yash Raj film to be directed by Shaad Ali, Govinda says, "It's a full-on masti film. Bahut mazaa ayega. It's very much in league with the kind of films that my audiences like to see me do."

Govinda, one hears, would be playing Ranveer Singh's mentor, philosopher and guide, a kind of buddy and guardian rolled into one. "I am no stranger to partnering other actors on screen. I've done it with Chunky Pandey, Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan. Like I said bahut mazaa ayega," says Govinda enthusiastically.

The two actors would be made to go through a series of workshops to get comfortable with one another. Says Govinda, "I've to admit things are finally looking up for me. With my friend Pahlaj Nihalani's film's last schedule happening in May, I can look forward to two good releases."

About his daughter Narmadda's delayed debut, Govinda says, "She is no hurry. She has turned down so many offers, as she wasn't happy with them. She will make her debut when she is sure of a project. Why should I rush her? When I started I had no guidance and I was desperate for work. So I signed whatever came my way. My daughter doesn't need to jump into any hasty career decision. Jo hoga woh achcha hi hoga."
