Naturally, it was all about collaboration which didn't involve any coaching whatsoever. However, for his first Hindi film where he is working with a debutant actor, Girish Kumar, Prabhu had to change his entire approach and work with the youngster for a good year and a half before calling the shots.

"To launch Girish, who is producer Kumar Taurani's son, Prabhu Dheva was signed close to three years back. While Girish worked on himself for almost a year, the director decided to have an audition for him. Girish performed on a few scenes and also a dance number. Though Prabhu Dheva loved what he saw, he instinctively knew that there were rough edges that had to be worked upon," informs a source.

He talked this out with the Tauranis and suggested that the newcomer further works on himself, especially the dancing part, so that he was just perfect for a go before reaching the sets of Ramaiya Vastavaiya.

"Prabhu Dheva took a personal interest in ensuring that," the source adds, "During a period of a year and a half, he handpicked close to 25 songs and gave them to Girish so that he could practice upon them."

In fact he continued to remotely track Girish's progress while shooting for Rowdy Rathore. Meanwhile he also appointed a few choreographers who worked on a daily basis with Girish in order to prepare him well for all formats of dances that are required for films.

On contacted, Kumar Taurani confirmed the developments, "It was wonderful on Prabhu Dheva's part to take so much interest in grooming Girish. He is a busy man and still he went all out to make sure that he spent time on him before hurrying to direct the film. He could see that Girish's body had rhythm to it and went along with sound and beats. He just wanted it all to go to another level. The results are worth it."

We do hope for that as well, considering the fact that songs and dances are expected to be a major highlight of Prabhu Dheva's films.
