Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…A report in a widely-circulated daily not only claims that the actress Leena Maria Paul is not a part of Shoojit Sircar's new film Madras Cafe. It also quotes one of the film's Executive Producers as saying the incarcerated actress, held for several cheating cases, was "never" a part of Madras Cafe.
However, director Shoojit Sircar confirms otherwise to this writer. He clearly states that Leena is a part of the vast cast of Madras Cafe. However, he clarifies that Leena's arrest in no way affects the film. Says Shoojit, "She plays one of the 60 characters in Madras Cafe."
The question is why is the film's Executive Producer quoted as saying the actress is not part of the film's cast, when she is?
