Father

They say that the only thing that is constant in this world is change. In Bollywood, it's not just the film technology that has changed, but also the statistics of heroes and heroines (no pun intended) have changed. That's why, on the occasion of Father's Day, we thought of drawing comparison between films of yesterday and today.

Till yesterday, the very moment when someone uttered said the term 'Papa', the only image that used to pop up in the mind was that of the guitar yielding Aamir Khan and his evergreen hit track 'Papa kehte hain bada karega' from the film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. While today, if someone mentions 'Papa' or 'Daddy', what pops up in our minds is the guitar yielding Imran Khan, who incidentally happens to Aamir Khan's nephew, crooning the very suggestive lines 'Daddy mujhse bola, tu galti hai meri'…, which does nothing but hits you below the belt (quite literally!)

Keeping in both the images and the eras, all that one can say is "Times may change, but the irony of the times just can't!"
