USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Jiah Khans unpublished interview March 13, 2010 – This was the day when I spoke to Jiah Khan for the first (and the last) time. She was in London and a telephonic conversation that was arranged for the promotion of Housefull lasted a good 30 odd minutes.

As my perceptions about her 'post Nishabd' days started breaking, courtesy her honest admission around 'I don't roam around in hot pants in my house', 'It was actually quite difficult for me to wear a bikini in Housefull and 'I freaked out on my 'suhaagraat' song with Akshay', I listened to this well read young woman on the other side of the phone who was expecting a good turnaround in her career post the film's release.

Amongst other things that she spoke about, including the Chance Pe Dance fiasco which she 'don't look back with any negativity', Jiah also spoke about several international assignments that she was expecting to be a part of soon. Perhaps, the words that she spoke back then were destined to go public when she was not around. Hence the reason why a part of my write up stayed on in the drafts.

Here's bringing an extract of her unpublished interview!

The Travel
"I am definitely seeing a good high in my career. I am currently in London and then travelling to Los Angeles for four days. Post that I would be heading for Jamaica."

The Charity

"I am doing a lot of stuff when it comes to charity. I am planning something in order to collect relief fund for Haiti earthquake victims. I am also aligned with UNICEF."

The Films

"I have three film offers currently, none of which are from Bollywood. I am looking at them with keen intent. Two of these are films based around serious issues. One is in line with charity. Another two are in conjunction with two major sports bodies. Then there is also a fourth movie which should be formalised soon. All these films are serious cinema and the kind which I want to do. These are so different."

It is unfortunate though that not much was heard of these films in years to come. Housefull was a major hit but Jiah wasn't heard of again. She became incommunicado and after a few 'Hello' messages and customary festival wishes, I too moved on. Only to hear about again at 1:30 AM on that fateful night.

Now that she has moved on, only her words remain.
