Guess who this singer is

Just when one thought that melody was missing from Bollywood films these days, the recent spate of musical hits reinstated the fact that melody and classical music is still alive in Bollywood. Talking about melody, Bollywood Hungama got its 'investigative hands' on the archives of tinsel town and chanced upon a photograph of a man who was simply synonymous with the term 'melody'. The man in question is the one circled on the extreme left. Before revealing the name, here are a few clues about him:

He was born in a village called Bhardaha in Nepal. He began his career in Nepal singing for 'Radio Nepal' as a staff artiste for Maithili and Nepali folk songs. Reports have it that he has sung more than 20,000 songs in a whopping 33 different languages! If that wasn't enough, he has even acted in two Nepali films, namely Kusume Rumal and Pirati.

By now, if you haven't guessed whom we are talking about, then, it's none other than the 'voice' of the evergreen cult track 'Papa Kehte Hain'… Udit Narayan! In this adjoining pic, Udit is seen with the legendary Usha Mangeshkar and the multi talented musician Nagesh Surve (whose exclusive interview will be featured in Bollywood Hungama very soon).
