Tamil association demands preview of Madras Cafe

It comes as no surprise that Madras Cafe has been touted to be a film that might offend certain sections of the Indian Society. The movie which is a political spy thriller revolving around the historical events of the 90s, is based on the relationship between India and Sri Lanka and is produced by John Abraham.

Recently, the trailer of the film was unveiled in Chennai and it seems a Tamil organization named 'Naam Thamizhar' isn't happy with the film. While the actor turned producer maintains that the film has no offensive terms and they have even avoided the use of the word 'terrorist' in the film, the Tamil outfit has demanded for a preview. The founder of Naam Thamizhar, Seeman claims that they would protest and won't allow the audience to watch the film if it is being screened without their permission. Also, they have already made a request to the Tamil Nadu Government seeking a ban.

However, John seems to maintain his cool and also believes that the film has nothing controversial and is in talks with the Sri Lankan government for an official release in the their country too.
