USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…It has been an enormously eventful year for Sridevi. The release of her comeback film English Vinglish followed by the Padma Shri for Sri were reasons enough for the entire nation to wake up to the Diva's endless aura.

Earlier this week, Sridevi brought in her birthday with a quiet get-together at a little party hosted by her sister Latha.

Now politician Amar Singh, a long-standing friend of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor is getting together with Boney on Saturday night for a lavish no-holds-barred party to celebrate Sridevi's birthday and the success of English Vinglish.

The 'do' to be held at newly-renovated lounge in Colaba (Mumbai) called the Alibi would see a massive turn-out.

Confirming the grand celebration Boney says, "Yes, Amar Singh and I are hosting a party for Sri at the Alibi. Amar Singh has been family friend for years. I've known him since a very long time. When he said he wanted to throw a party for Sri, I decided to join in as the co-host."

So is this a belated birthday bash for Sridevi? Says Boney, "You could say it's also a birthday party. Amar Singhji wants to celebrate the year that was for Sri. Her film was warmly accepted by audiences. As a family, we have a lot to be thankful for. Luckily, we have many friends who want to participate in our happiness. Sometime ago, Sahara Shri Subroto Roy threw a party for Sri. So did another old friend Subramaniam Reddy. Sri's sister Latha also had a party for Sri and so did her cousin. So when Amar Singhji suggested a party, I happily agreed."

Besides his wife's triumph, Boney's children too are doing very well for themselves. Son Arjun made a successful debut as an actor. Daughter Anshula has graduated in Urban Planning from Colombia University. Boney's two daughters Jhanvi and Khushi from Sridevi are also academically inclined.

"I guess I've a lot to be thankful for," says Boney gratefully.
