USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Akshay Kumar, who recently ventured into Punjabi film production, was in for a shock when one of his past patriotic statements was used against him in a promotional campaign of a Punjabi film, Dil Pardesi Ho Gaya.

Apparently the actor was approached by the team of this film, asking him to talk about Indo-Pak peace, claiming it an Independence Day initiative. Unaware of the fact that the footage was being used for a movie, Akshay gladly obliged to make a friendly appearance for free. And now the film Dil Pardesi Ho Gaya is being promoted, using Akshay's friendly appearance as their USP even in their ad campaigns.

When Akshay's team was confronted with this fact, they were left fuming. However, the director of the film, Thakur Tapasvi, maintained that the film has Akshay in a cameo but no contract was being signed because it was a small role. But the team of Akshay isn't convinced as yet and they might soon resort to legal action against these Punjabi filmmakers.
