USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Vidyas Bobby Jasoos takes on Ranbirs Jagga Jasoos They may not really be having anything in common but in 2014, they would be pitched opposite each other in a very interesting way. While Ranbir Kapoor is coming with his Jagga Jasoos, Vidya Balan would also be seen in Bobby Jasoos. With so much happening around the two jasoos, we did some jasoosi ourselves to understand what really happened behind the scenes.

"Though Ranbir took the lead with Jagga Jasoos being announced first, Vidya's Bobby Jasoos is not an after thought. It was always in the pipeline and it is just coincidental that the two films with a detective as a central protagonist have a similar sounding title as well," informs a source.

In fact when Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha, co-producers at Born Free who are bringing Bobby Jasoos, heard about Jagga Jasoos, they as well as first time director Samar Shaikh were pretty amused themselves.

"We were like 'yeh kya ho raha hai'", says Dia in an animated tone, "This was a seed that had been brewing for a long time in our hearts and mind. Work on the film's script had started two and a half years ago while Bobby Jasoos as the title was registered eight months ago. It was always going to be this title only."

On the other hand, Anurag Basu and Ranbir Kapoor, who are co-producing Jagga Jasoos had this title in their mind for a long time.

"What's really interesting is that the reactions so far have been phenomenal to the title. I remember that when we first used to tell people about Bobby Jasoos, they ended up asking whether this is the story of a man or a woman. I guess when a title doesn't really suggest the sex of the protagonist, it is always a good thing. Now we have surprised many by roping in Vidya as the female central protagonist" adds Sahil.

Ironically, same can well be said about Ranbir Kapoor's character name in his next release Besharam. Reason? He is called 'Babli' in there.
