USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…I connect naturally with dramatic roles - Anisa With the recent fall of Besharam, looks like small films just doubled up their chance of success. Aiming to be one of them is Baat Ban Gayi which released this Friday. The film starring Ali Fazal of Fukrey fame and Anisa Butt is said to be inspired by the Shakespearean 'Comedy of Errors' with Ali playing a double role.

And the girl who is most excited to be a part of this is Anisa, who obviously like every other new actor, is nervous, "Being a debut lead is a huge step for me. I am just hoping that people would like my work."

However, she is happy about the fact that it is a light hearted film which will entertain the whole family alike. "The movie is an out and out comedy and loosely inspired by Comedy of Errors. It's a family film and everyone can go out to watch this masala entertainer."

Young and vivacious that she is, her character Rachna resembles her real self a lot. "Rachna is like a girl next door. She is very fun-loving, likeable and very cute. She is also romantic. Her main conflict revolves around wanting to please her Bhaiyya and Bhabhi who have raised her but at the same time she wants them to accept the love of her life Kabir into the family."

Comedy seems to be flavour of this season. Hoping that her film too would fall under the league of success, Anisa who prefers doing some serious kind of cinema accepted the comedy. "I connect naturally to dramatic serious roles. It's very interesting that my first film is as a lead in comedy. It's funny how that happened!"

While this is not Anisa's first film, she has made a few special appearances in Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. "Working with such senior stars surely is a learning experience," says Anisa. But she cannot stop gushing about Ranbir Kapoor and his talent. "Ranbir is doing fab. The kind of body of work he is doing, the kind of styled actor he has become, I look up to him considering that he is one of the top contemporary actors."

The actress, who is now looking out for new and refreshing opportunities, has landed with another venture in her kitty. "My next is Akka Top directed by debutant Shehzan Kareem and we have already started shooting for it." However, Anisa remained tight lipped about the rest of the details of the film.

Being a foreign import to Bollywood like Katrina Kaif and Jacqueline Fernandez, Anisa just has one fear and that is getting typecast as an NRI. "I know I am not from India and I may be stuck with the typical NRI kind of characters, but I am hoping to try different things and try to break out of that," she says.
