Sriram is all set for his next venture, which will be a film based on Indian novelist and diplomat Vikas Swarup's third book 'The Accidental Apprentice'. Vikas Swarup is also the author of Q&A which was adapted into Slumdog Millionaire. Talking about this development, Sriram said that the said book is a fast-paced suspense story set in contemporary India, whose premises are real yet fantastic. Not just that, the protagonist of the book is also someone whom all could relate to. He added that the book, at first, begins like a fairytale but it also has a dark side.

Matchbox Films' Sanjay Rautray (who will be producing the film) said that Sriram has started working on the script and that it took them almost six months to convince Vikas about the project.
