Rekha Bhardwaj, who is known for her rustic voice in the hit tracks like 'Namak' etc… is now all set to take the plunge into music direction with Prithvi's play 'Umrao Jaan', wherein Neetu Chandra will be playing the title role.
And she has already composed four songs for the same. Talking about her foray in music direction, Rekha says that this was not at all a planned move. It was at the persistence of the director Hidayat Sami, that she created some tunes for the play. An initially reluctant Rekha later gave her nod for the same.
The first show of the play 'Umrao Jaan' is scheduled for November 7.
