USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…One of the most popular Pakistani folk singers, Reshma breathed her last in Lahore last evening after suffering from throat cancer for a long time. According to reports, Reshma was in coma for a month.
Reshma was born in Bikaner, India, but her family shifted to Karachi post the partition. The singer has been in the music arena since the 60s when she ruled the Pakistani radio with her folk music. She established her career in Bollywood with some popular numbers like 'Dama Dam Mast Kalandar' and 'Lambi Judai'.
Reshma is survived by two children – her son Umair and daughter Khadija.
