Based on Chetan Bhagat's popular novel, the screen adaptation of '2 States' produced by Karan Johar, will have Ronit Roy playing Arjun Kapoor's father in the film.
Though it's a special appearance, Ronit's role may have a negative shade. However, the small screen superstar claims that the film will portray a beautiful story between a father and a son. Also, he revealed that this role is inspired by Chetan Bhagat's father in real life.
The film is a love story where a North Indian boy falls in love with a South Indian girl and how the couple overcomes various cultural differences which pose as an obstacle for their marriage.
2 States will see Alia Bhatt playing the female lead and is directed by Abhishek Varman and Sreerag Nambiar.
