And now, taking action against the sad plight of horses, Jacqueline along with People for the Ethical Treatment for Animals (PETA) will be meeting the city's Mayor Sunil Prabhu and BMC Commissioner Sitaram Kunte before the High Court of Bombay in December.

The main aim is to discuss the torturous treatment imposed upon horses and also to throw some light on the unlicensed stables in which the animals are given shelter. Also, the actress will be sending a letter to the BMC Commissioner asking him to ban the concept of horse carriages in Mumbai.

Jacqueline has extended her support in this campaign since its inception along with PETA and several other NGOs who are fighting to protect even the sick and the malnourished horses who are currently being housed in filthy conditions.
