In its ruling by Justice M.L. Mehta, the court asked various internet operators to block within 48 hours, the sites which illegally show the movie after they receive a written complaint from the production house.

This order of the court came after a plea was filed by Yash Raj Films, seeking a restraint order against various internet service providers and cable operators on showing the film illegally. Dhoom 3 that stars Abhishek Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Uday Chopra, is slated for release on December 20.
