Aamir Khan raises stakes for biking from Ghulam to Dhoom 3

USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart… 15 years back he had indulged in a 'Dus Dus Ki Daud' for Vikram Bhatt's Ghulam (1998). Circa 2013 and the stakes have gone further higher in Aditya Chopra's Dhoom 3 where Aamir Khan is making his comeback as a biker.

"Even though he had played a boxer in Ghulam, his character of Siddharth Marathe was shown as a bike aficionado. He rode through the streets on one, wooed his girl (Rani Mukerji) on the same and the indulged in some breathtaking life threatening stunts as well. Now with the advent of modern day technology and availability of hi-fi equipments, there is added style quotient that has come into play with Dhoom 3. As a biker, he has taken his antagonist character of Sahir to an altogether different level," informs a source.

This time around, the bike is much heavier as well and when compared to the Ghulam, there are far more dare devil stunts that he is a part of.

"Yes, the one he is riding on in Dhoom 3 is a high end, stylish BMW," the source adds, "It has been quite a shift for him from the days of Ghulam. To ensure that there was authenticity that was brought on screen; he also went through a special training so that he could perform maximum stunts on the bike himself."

Considering the fact that Dhoom and bikes are synonymous to each other and John Abraham as well as Hrithik Roshan have made it all look cool in first and second of the series, expectations from Aamir are only to take it all many notches higher in Dhoom 3.
"Other than just Dhoom series, even other superstars have shown their prowess with a bike in the recent times," an insider says, "For Chennai Express, Shah Rukh Khan continued to practice till he got it all right since there were a few bike stunts involved. Before him Saif Ali Khan too had indulged in some cool bike stunts for Agent Vinod. Not to forget Abhishek Bachchan who has been a constant fixture on bikes for each of the three Dhoom. Undoubtedly, Aamir had to make sure that he surpasses efforts of one and all."
