Deepika Padukone is indeed looking forward to a very Happy New Year. Well, literally and figuratively. Though the cast and crew of the Farah Khan directed film has assembled once again for the second schedule of the film, Deepika would be joining the fun only in the New Year.
"Yes, I resume the shoot in January. I am sure it is going to be a lot of fun. I experienced it first hand in the last schedule at Dubai and can't wait to get started all over again next month," says Deepika who now taking some well deserved break after releasing four films – ranging from hits to all time blockbusters – in a span of 11 months.
Her last release Ram Leela was a highly emotional experience as not just her characterization was complex, the shooting too was hectic, considering it was in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali set up.
"Yes, an emotional film like Ram-Leela can drain you a lot. Still, even though it was a tough film, I looked forward to going there. Now that Happy New Year is so much fun, with me the only girl surrounded by these five men with tremendous sense of humour, it is going to be all the more exciting," smiles Deepika while referring to Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah.
As for the other woman on the sets, Farah Khan, Deepika is happy to be reuniting with her six years after Om Shanti Om.
"I am being pampered like anything," says Deepika fondly, "A very important rule for me to be a part of a film is to have a blast. I had that in Dubai a few weeks. Now I can't wait to be back on the sets again."
