USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Though Dedh Ishqiya had a smooth clearance from the Censor Board prior to the release, the CBFC had asked the filmmakers to delete a scene where Arshad Warsi was visiting a brothel.
However, when a Censor Board member visited the screening post the release, it was seen that the shot wasn't removed from the film. Hence the CEO of the Censor Board Film Certification, Rakesh Kumar, revealed that they have issued a show cause seeking an explanation for the same. The filmmakers claim that this was a result of a technical issue. Producer Raman Maru of Shemaroo stated that some theatres couldn't blur out the 20 second scene due to bad lighting and the problem will be resolved soon.
Dedh Ishqiya stars Madhuri Dixit, Naseeruddin Shah, Huma Qureshi and Arshad Warsi.
