Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Last year, the news of Jiah Khan's suicide sent shock waves in the Bollywood industry, after which her mother Rabia Khan accused Jiah's boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi of murdering her daughter. And now, Rabia recently met the US officials and has asked them to intervene into the investigation.
After the accusations on Sooraj Pancholi, son of actor Aditya Pancholi, he was arrested post the suicide and was later released with no evidence to prove the alleged crime. However, Jiah's mother later accused Sooraj of abetting the suicide. Now, Rabia and her lawyer Dinesh Tiwari met Rosemary Macray, Chief of American Citizen Services Unit at the US Consulate in Mumbai. The former handed over her documents to the Chief and has now requested the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) to assist the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation), who is currently in charge of the Jiah Khan case, in their investigation. Lawyer Dinesh Tiwari also revealed that the FBI is convinced that there is something amiss about the case and hence, will be providing forensic and technical assistance to the CBI.
