Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Iconic Tamil mega-star Rajinikanth's first and last public appearance for his latest film Kochadaiyaan was at the film's music launch on Sunday morning in Chennai. He intends to stay out of the marketing and promotions after the music and trailer launch.

Shah Rukh Khan in whose production Ra.One Rajinikanth had made a cameo appearance was prominently present at the event on Sunday morning, though he didn't release the music.

The honour of releasing the trailer and music of Kochadaiyaan went to the veteran filmmaker K. Balachander.

Shah Rukh in fact volunteered to be present at the big event and even offered to bring Deepika Padukone alongwith him.

Says a source, "Deepika is shooting with Shah Rukh for Happy New Year. It is at present impossible for her to fly down to Chennai or anywhere else. But Shah Rukh not only offered to fly down in a private jet he also agreed to take Deepika in the chartered flight."

Confirming these occurrences, the film's co-producer Dr Murli Manohar says, "The event went off spectacularly. All the roads leading to the event were blocked by Rajniji's fans. Our leading lady Deepika Padukone flew down with Shah Rukh in a private jet for just a few hours. But it was not a jet sent by Rajinikanthji. Rajinji has never in his life travelled by a private jet. It was Shah Rukh who has arranged the jet for himself and Deepika. He wanted to be there for Rajiniji's special moment."

Apparently, Rajinikanth is deeply moved by Shah Rukh's gesture.

Ten minutes of the film Kochadaiyaan was screened for the press.

Explains Dr Murli, "There were many misconceptions about the '3D Motion Capture Technique' that Kochadaiyaan has used. It is not animation film. We wanted to show the world the difference between a cartoon film and 3D Motion Capture. We wanted to dispel the notion."
