USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart… In Asha Bhosle's voice, Kangna Ranaut has been creating 'hungama' till date, what with the veteran singer's chartbuster track 'Hungama' from Anhonee [1973] included in the narrative of Queen and the girl dancing with gay abandon. Well, it is apparent that the association between the singer and the actress would continue for time to come, what with Asha Bhosle singing a brand new track for Kangna.
"The film in question is Revolver Rani which is all set to arrive later this month," informs a source, "The song is called 'Kaafi Nahi Chand' and is in complete contrast to 'Hungama Ho Gaya'. While 'Hungama Ho Gaya' was an unabashed retro dance number and presented in a 'remix avtar', 'Kaafi Nahi Chand' is a brand new number. It is a romantic song about longing for togetherness with one's lover."
Those who have heard the number vouch for the fact that it is vintage Asha Bhosle outing and reminds of quite a few excellent melodies that the veteran singer had created with R.D. Burman.
"For Kangna, it is a major high since Asha Bhosle has sung for someone who is half a century younger than her," exclaims a close associate, "In her earlier release Rajjo she had paid homage of sorts to the singer with quite a few 'mujra' tracks. Though Asha Bhosle wasn't a part of that soundtrack, the fact that she has sung 'Kaafi Nahi Chand' for her, and that too in a stage and setting that reminds one of songs from a film like Ijaazat, is a reason good enough to cheer about."
With composer Sanjeev Srivastava and lyricist Shaheen Iqbal doing their bit as well, one now waits to see the kind of 'hungama' that Kangna creates on screen this time around when 'Kaafi Nahi Chand' plays in Revolver Rani.
